I don’t want to say it too loudly, touch wood and cross my fingers, but it seems that the Grim Reaper has decided to pass by our beloved island.
Menorca has maintained 13 consecutive days without any new Covid-19 infection. Great news, although we still have to be very careful, not to remove our face mask in public places and to be vigilant with a quick glance out of the corner of your eye.
While among the provinces of the country there is a competition to pass through the phases, almost as if it were a board game. The communities shake their cups and roll the dice in turns to see if luck will smile on them and allow them to pass a square or a half square (the latter being a kick from participants who are sore losers) and some may even end up on the prison square and not be able to make a throw…
However, the island of Menorca, apart from having already reached the coveted Stage 2 phase and looking forward to Stage 3, when this game is over, will move to a private room (with plush carpet and free vintage wines) where we will continue to play in a much more exclusive game. Menorca goes at its own pace (“poc a poc”) to a position where it has always been and where the other players do not even dream of reaching: the #MenorcaPhase.
